Life in the Sloe Lane:
Life in the Sloe Lane is a site about our family’s efforts to have a greener more self sufficient lifestyle in our thatched cottage Aurora - organic gardening, recycling projects, green energy, rural traditions and folklore. I’ll share my knowledge on wild food and foraging, gardening tips and my moon-planting diary. It’s a experiment to see if we can increase our food yields whilst reducing our drinks bill. Here at Aurora Cottage we’re partial to a sloe gin of an evening.
Friends of Mali-Ireland:
Friends of Mali Ireland is a site about this voluntary not-for-profit organisation, founded by Elizabeth Healy and others. The organisation’s purpose is two-fold: It supports initiatives which promote sustainable, long-term community-based development in one of the world’s poorest countries – Mali, West Africa. It provides a forum for people from Mali, who are visiting or living in Ireland, to contact each other and also to meet other people in Ireland who know / love Mali.
Castlehackett NS: still a work in progress. Exisiting site: www.castlehackettns.com
Castlehackett NS is a site about Scoil Naomh Iosef, a spirited rural national school in Castlehackett, Co. Galway. It’s located at the foothills of Cnoc Meadha and straddles three parishes – Annaghdown, Caherlistrane and Belclare.
At present there are 53 children enrolled.
